New traffic rule: no longer excuses, swipe machine will be used to collect fines

Implementation of a new law for collecting fines of Rs 500 to Rs 5,000 from drivers who violate traffic rules has been started from September 16, 2019 in Gujarat. However, within these 15 days the traffic police had many experiences that the driver did not have the penalty money.

But most carriers have debit cards - credit cards. The driver of the vehicle was ready to pay the fine from the card. Eventually the traffic police have decided to buy 500 swipe machines to solve the problem.

However, because many drivers did not keep up with this much money, they had problems paying the fine on the spot. Joint Commissioner of Traffic Police JR Mothlia and DCP Tejas Patel had planned to purchase swipe machines to recover the fine from debit card - credit card.

If the state government approves, by the time of Diwali, traffic police will buy swipe machines and start implementation.
